an update of sorts
normally i would post a video, because well, dance is about dancing. unfortunately, the uploader on blogger doesn't want to work, sooo you get to read this instead.
my piece is finished. is it what i thought it would be? well yeah, because i had no idea how it would turn out. does it really reflect andy warhol? who knows. does it have to? nope. do i care if people like it? yeah, but if you don't, that's okay too.
bottom line is i like it. and that's all that matters. and that, my friends, is very "andy warhol."
all i really have to say is,
BE IN THE WORLD FOR YOU FASCINATE THE REAL WONDER.
g(rounded).
december 4, 5 & 6
just do what you do.

working title.
i can't tell where the artificial stops and the real starts.
the world fascinates me.
you have to be willing to get happy about nothing.
in the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.
i wonder if a love affair could last forever.
rearranged...
in aw(e).
to everyone—
be in the world for you fascinate the real wonder.
love,
me

in an ideal world...
dancers would defy gravity and movement in my head would translate perfectly onto bodies.
that's all.

andy said...
don't think about making art, just get it done. let everyone else decide whether it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. while they're deciding, make even more art.
you have to be willing to get happy about nothing.
scripts bore me. it's much more exciting not to know what's going to happen.
pop art is for everyone. i don't think art should be only for a select few.

a piece inspired by andy warhol's work and ideologies.
